Kristen Csenkey, Ph.D. fosters a collaborative environment defined by inclusive pedagogy both through the management of her Research Team and in teaching. She views her role as a facilitator, mediator, and guide in fostering interactive discussions that encourage critical knowledge exchange and reciprocal learning. 

 

Teaching and learning are fundamentally collaborative efforts, and Dr. Csenkey ensures that students not only grasp scholarly knowledge, but also critically apply it to real-world contexts. Her record of teaching spans diverse groups, encompassing interdisciplinary students and officer cadets, demonstrating her commitment to fostering practical and impactful learning experiences.

Research Team & Assistants

Research assistants play a vital role in Dr. Csenkey's funded research projects. Dr. Csenkey views her involvement with research assistants as an integral aspect of her mentorship and teaching responsibilities. Several former research assistants have successfully transitioned into roles within government, the armed forces, and academia. She is dedicated to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment within her Research Teams. Collaborating closely with her research assistants, she facilitates opportunities for them to develop their academic and professional skills by co-authoring publications. This approach enables them to make significant strides in their careers.

Supervision & Mentorship

Dr. Csenkey has extensive experience in managing large research projects and leading a team of research assistants. She has co-supervised independent research studies at the graduate level. 

 

At this time, she is not taking on supervisory duties.

 

Mentorship involves attentive listening, offering support, and meaningful advice. She recognizes the correlation between effective mentorship and individual success. Her dedication has served as a source of inspiration for numerous students at the undergraduate and graduate levels, guiding them in their academic pursuits.
